Love Your Melon was founded on the ideal of giving to an organization that helps the lives of children battling cancer. Without these nonprofit partners we would not be able to make the difference in so many lives that we currently do. There are currently 25 nonprofit organizations partnered with Love Your Melon, with almost 4 million given to each group.

One of the current nonprofit partners is CureSearch for Children’s Cancer. This is an organization that is
working on an aggressive research pipeline that will fund pediatric research grants and clinical trials that have a high chance of becoming successful children’s cancer treatments. Love Your Melon has given $768,607 to the organization. Some of these funds have been allocated to Dr. Davis who is currently conducting research on acute lymphoblastic leukemia (ALL), the most common cancer in children. Most cases can be cured but there are those that relapse and can be difficult to cure. Davis is working to better predict and prevent these relapses.

The Pinky Swear Foundation is another one of our nonprofit organizations. Since our original partnership we have given $860,557 to the group. Pinkyswear was founded after nine year old Mitch was diagnosed with bone cancer and overheard another family discussing how they would not be able to afford Christmas that year because they had a child in treatment. After talking to his father, Mitch used the money he had in his savings account to give the children in the pediatric oncology floor in his hospital envelopes with money, signing each “Love Mitch. XOXOXO”. After all was done Mitch asked his father if they could do it again next year, however Mitch’s prognosis was not good. When his father told him that he may not be there next year, Mitch looked at his father and said "Dad, promise me you will keep helping kids with cancer! Pinky swear with me that you will do it forever!" Since his passing in 2003, Mitch’s mother and father have continued to raise money and donate it to families around the holidays to help other families handle the financials of the season.

Be The Match is on a mission to help people find donors for bone marrow transplants. Through the transplant of bone marrow from donor to patient, Be The Match has puts together a large database of donors that can be contacted to give their bone marrow if needed to give to patients. Love Your Melon has given $150,000 to Be The Match for their mission.
